Magic with a rose

This weekend was fruitful. We raided on our bikes more than 70 km and I sewed another bag. It seems that I’m getting to my usual form. And I’ve got a hunch that people will like this bag 🙂

I quilted a panel for this bag with magic patterns because that’s what fairies do 😉

A long adjustable belt allows to hang the bag on a shoulder or across the back. That was the assumption. As well as external pocket with a zipper.

I shaped the bottom in a way that the inside is comfortable and with enough space considering  the bag’s size is a medium one. Also the big space inside shouldn’t make the bag stand too far from the body.

In order to make the internal part I used the cotton pieces from my previous projects. I like to work this way, which lets create the inside which is above the mediocre and also the whole process is a way less boring. The effort and time spending is bigger but effects pay off.

Below is a ‘shoulder configuration’ 🙂

This bag is for my mum, who’s mobility is a bit limited after a knee surgery and she needs something which lets keep hands free. I’m happy that she wants to wear such a bags. She just have young soul and it didn’t bother me when she changed her mind after first fabric set completion and when I had to do this again because she thought things over and decided for something else 🙂

Bag’s size: bottom 33 cm x 7-10 cm, height 35 cm .

Chce ją nosić 🙂 To najważniejsze. Mamy “młoda dusza” i Twoja radość. Pozdrawiam serdecznie 🙂

Wyszła ekstra 🙂 Piękne materiały, jak zawsze fantastycznie zestawione. Pikowanie dodaje tajemniczości, dlaczego właśnie takie ?? No właśnie , bo czarodziejskie 😉 Bardzo funkcjonalna z tym długim jednym paskiem i przestronnym wnętrzem.

Dziś pokazałam w patchworkowej grupie do której należę. Wzbudziła spore zainteresowanie 🙂 A mama taką chciała, wiesz – to ta czarodziejka z poduszki dla niej 🙂

Seeing the lovely bags you have made has given me ideas what to make with my Flapper ladies. I have always liked the 1920s fashions and I will have a go later on when I have finished my current work. I like the bag you made your mum, bet she was thrilled with it.
