To start is the hardest part. The environment and Nature provide so many impulses, that countless pictures are buzzing in my head. Which one of them should be picked in order to put it in a physical form?… But in time all the detail become more and more real. A flower, leaf, straw of grass, butterfly maybe…

Mallow
When I’m thinking about mallow it’s about middle of the summer or my country holday many years ago. I wanted to make them last year, but only this one I managed to do so, just when their time came.
The Meadow of Black Butterflies
This is the quilt which I simply wanted to sew. It’s been inspired by the beautiful watercolor painted by Marta Konieczny, who granted me a permission for doing so.
Impression
It wasn’t enough to me after I made the last picture. Definitely not enough spring! At least this light lilly one, in slightly colder colours than the previous work.
I step into spring!
This is my favorite time of the year. Everything (including me :)) is waking up, making budds, growing, blossoming, looking for more life. Everyday the world is more and more beautiful.
It’s time to celebrate it.
In the nest
My ideas have various sources. Sometimes it’s about a particular moment in time, sometimes about the need to cool myself down and finally just for simple joy of creation. Probably there are even some more. The inspiration comes from a piece of fabrics, from a picture, a remembered view and, above all, the world around.
Snippet bird
Is it possible to sew something because of its name? Yes, it is.
This is the third and probably the last one of the series. I had two already; Scrappy park bird and Scrappy garden bird. Now it’s time for a Snippet bird belonging to a scrappy family 😉
Once upon a time on a meadow
This picture was created with scraps again. Recently I made some quilt top and what was left over as a result of its alignment I used for the background in this picture here. The size of those scraps determined the picture’s size.
Scraps of the Spring
This quilt has been made by accident. I sewed the first picture because I wanted to send it for somebody. It was made of scraps, for which I had a significant amount at that time. Almost immediately I did a second one, then the third and… It got me!
Jolene
I like to sew pictures like this one. Imagine them and create plants with pieces of fabrics. I like also to draw the missing parts of the meadows’ grass with my needle.
