Tuscany

When I’m thinking about holidays Tuscany pops-up like a synonym of it. This is one of the  most beautiful places in Europe and surely this is not only my opinion. We visited Italy several times and during our rambling I always wanted at least to touch this land.

This was the beginning, with a sketch of a house on a white material:

Below you may see two postcards. My first ever, made last year, and the one from this year. Both are about Tuscany 🙂 I just realized that last year sewing of the postcards I started with greetings from Tuscany. I still like this very first one made in Cubist style.

This piece is tiny, only 10 x 15 cm, just like a postcard. This time I decided not to use a thick tread for the border, because I think the that frame is going to be different this time.

In order to show the size I made the picture below 🙂

I made this postcard for Karolina’s competition. I enjoy the format she proposed. You don’t need a lot of fabrics and just a little bit of imagination to take a part in it. Also there’s a lot of creativity freedom available. And the subject is great too: The Summer Postcard 🙂 What about you? Would you try your skills?
