I like birds a lot and a lot of them dwell in our home, but even more sing behind the window. I also like to sew them and this one is an outcome of such desire and the desire for oncoming spring, for which I’m waiting greatly.
It’s hard to believe, that this work has been created from so tiny scraps. Almost every single leaf is from another fabric and the nest is made of nearly nothing. I’m not sure, how this is handled by birds, but I made a lot of mess when designing this nest and lurking in my ‘building materials. Finding the exact scrap can be troublesome.

Creation stages:
- Colouring the background, arranging the bird from scraps, arranging branches and stitching it to the background.
2. Making the nest. Some of the scraps are stiffened with a fleece glued on both sides, but not all of them. 
3. Free-hand quilting of the nest. A shaded thread is good for such a job.
4. Arranging the leaves and the background elements – flowers and twigs. Free-hand quilting again.
5. Clipping the verges and stitching the border. Polishing by adding few new elements and more quilting/drawing with a needle.
6. Dressing, which is adding a backside fabric, adding a frame with edging, and stitching a hanging tunnel on the back side.
Gosiu praca jest przecudna i ponadczasowa. Nie mogę wyjść z podziwu że obraz jest z tak malutkich skrawków materiału. Czapki z głów.

Normalnie zwariowałam w zachwycie na tą ptaszynką. I głowa mi spuchła z podziwu, co TY, Gosiu wyprawiasz z materiałami, ścineczkami, niteczkami i czym tam jeszcze. Najbardziej mnie zadziwia, że one się po prostu Ciebie słuchają. Wszystko pracuje po Twojej myśli, Gosiu i …….. dlatego czarujesz TAKIE CUDOWNOŚCI.
