Happy New Year
My work from a few years ago, slightly refreshed, serves as a Christmas tree (instead of a traditional Christmas tree). I like it very much.
Sometimes I go back to old quilts and change something in them. That’s what happened in this case.
I wish everyone a happy New Year!
Merry Christmas
Quilt with owls
Birds
I sewed the placemats quite a long time ago, I found the photos while organizing albums. Good photos to welcome spring.
A life full of colors!
This work took me back to the beginning of my adventure with patchwork. I used some of my favorite fabrics almost to the last thread, first cutting large rectangles for the quilt, and then from what was left – tiny ones for pillows. Fabrics from which so many colorful works were created, those combined with black 🙂
The set is a wedding gift and I have included a lot of good wishes for the newlyweds’ further journey together 🙂
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
Stars on a forest road
Long long time ago and far far away…
And this is actually true, not a fairy tale… The first table runner like this I sewed just recently (or it seems so), but actually it was seven years ago, in another home, another plave, different country even.
Elves
I have sewed two wall hangings with elves, They’re very similar with the exception of their sizes and colours. The smaller one (38 cm x 47 cm) is additionally guarded by yet another elf.
Bird nests
These are the lasts of series of baskets. The bird nests panels contained twelve pictures, hence three baskets have been made.
I have designed and made the pilot one, just for myself, more than four years ago (!). It’s still proved very useful, as every time I’m tidying up my study, I’m throwing all the scattered bits and pieces into it.
The second bag I designed and sewed for Ela, and for her sanctuary in particular :). The next two that are the subject to this post. They are just a consecutive creation, in which I used all the pictures from this non-typical panel of bird nsest/houses and various scraps.
I believe that every creative person that sews has an urge to finish pieces once started using materials already in hand without buying anything new. I guess that’s the stage I’m currently in.
